As most are aware, the Atlantic hurricane season is moving along mercilessly this year. In just four months, the 2017 season has seen 11 named storms, six named hurricanes, and three major hurricanes- Harvey, Irma, and Jose. With these and more major storms likely forming, flooding has been a very real issue our coastal states have come to face. Thankfully, it is a problem that could be diminished if we were to dredge our waterways. Though this may seem like a daunting task to most, over at Marsh Buggies Incorporated we have the dredging tools to make the life of an operator easier and dryer.
Dredging serves two key important functions to reduce the flooding of our waterways. Dredging deepens the channel and the material taken from the channel is deposited on banks and levees to further preserve the canals and rivers. Professionals often find it necessary to both be able to deepen the middle of a body of water as well as work from the waterway’s bank. Having a machine that flourishes on both land and water is a game changer. Using an amphibious construction vehicle reduces the need for multiple machines, as well as the project length by cutting back on the time it would take to switch or unload the dredging tools to and from a barge.
Each project is different and each client has an individualized need so, with that thought in mind, here at Marsh Buggies we offer five different models of marsh excavators that are each built to fit the different demands of our consumers. Every model is customizable to fit the unique needs of our customers and we want to work with you to find the machine that is the right fit for your project.
